Dear Grandma,

I wish I could’ve been by you when your time came. I’m sorry I wasn’t. I’m sorry that I never took advantage of the times I had to try and atleast create a relationship that we didn’t have. I wish that my dad wouldn’t have pushed us and kept us so far from you, but I also wish that you would have attempted to be more of a grandmother to us. But none the less, you are our grandmother and we can never change that.

It’s only wishes now, but I wish that I was given more time with you. I wish that we could have had some sort of relationship. I wish that you would have showed my dad and us affection. I wish that you could be there next weekend for the wedding. I just wish that everything could be a little bit different between us.

It’s weird to see all of your kids in my living room, they’ve never been together like this before. And it sucks that it had to be your life that had to be taken from us to bring them all together. But I’m glad that they were all together to atleast spend the last few days with you together.

I know you put up a hard fight Grandma. You’re a fighter, but for some reason someone didn’t want you fighting anymore. You don’t have to suffer through pain anymore, instead you can relax where ever you are. But I ask you, please watch over us. Watch over your children, watch over your grandchildren, watch over everyone. I know you’ll be there in spirit for Debbie’s wedding.

We love you Grandma, no matter what kind of relationship we had. You’ll always be cherished in my heart.
